Pune: Iconic cartoonist R K Laxman passed away at a hospital here on Monday evening after a prolonged illness. He was 94. Laxman, the creator of ubiquitous mute spectator 'Common Man', was admitted to the hospital on January 17 for urinary infection. He is survived by wife Kamala and son Srinivas, a former journalist. Laxman who irked politicians exposing their hypocrisy through his cartoons had a huge fan following from various corners.
