Hyderabad : A 32-year-old engineer from Hyderabad, who was planning to join the terror group in Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) as a freelance radical, was arrested by the Cyberabad police on Friday. The arrested engineer Salman Moinuddin, a resident of Habeeb Nagar in West Zone limits of Hyderabad police commissionerate, was picked up by the police at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport when he was about to take a flight to Dubai. He was planning to join his girlfriend, a British Nationalist, now living in Dubai.
The duo had plans to go to Syria via Turkey and join the ISIS operations. Moinuddin has a Master of Science degree from Houston in the United States. Basing on the intelligence inputs provided by the Indian Security agencies, the US returnee was picked up by the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport police. Provoked by the radical preaching on social networking sites, Moinuddin had a strong intention to get trained at Syria and Iraq and initiate attacks in the country, police said.
