Rachana Reddy and Shrivalli Rashmika emerged champions in the under-14 and under-16 categories respectively in the All India Ranking Tennis Championship Series for girls under-14 and under-16 at the NVK Tennis Academy here. In the U-14 category, Rachana thashed Rashmikaa 6-0,6-1 without much ado to lift the title. But Rashmikaa made amends for her loss by clinching the U-16 title after a grueling straight set victory.
She fought her heart out against Sajiya Begum to clinch the first set in tie-breaker 7-6(9). In the second set, she had her nose ahead and did not let Sajiya to take control. She went on to win the second set 6-4 win the title.
