Hyderabad: With a view to expediting works on the prestigious water grid project of the Telangana government, Panchayat Raj and IT Minister K Taraka Rama Rao has decided to embark on visits to districts from Tuesday. The minister, who held a review meeting with the officials of Rural Water Supply (RWS) department in the city on the status of the water grid project, will visit Mahabubnagar district first on January 27, followed by Warangal (January 28) and Khammam (January 29).
KTR directed the officials to be ready with all the information related to the project at district level. He asked the officials to complete the works related to the construction of a pylon marking the launch of the project worth Rs 25, 000 crore before February 10. He said the Chief Minister would unfurl the pylon at any time after the specified date of its completion. KTR directed the officials to Superintendent Engineer (SE) and Executive Engineer (EE) rank officials to be ready with the detailed presentations during his district visits.
