Anna Hazare's car auctioned for Rs 9.11 lakhs
Social activist Anna Hazare’s car was on Sunday sold for Rs 9.11 lakhs in a public auction. The eight year old car is an Sports Utility Vehicle and one of Hazare’s close associate bought the Mahindra Scorpio who earlier offered to buy Toyota Innova for Hazare.
About 14 people participated in the auction and Pravin alias Atul Lokhande from Hazare’s native district, Ahmednagar was the lucky one to get the car. Anna Hazare’s aides say that the vehicle is a witness of ‘historic events.’ He took national wide tour on this car to gather support for the Jan Lokpal movement. In 2011, the car was attacked by Congress workers in Nagpur.
