Directorate of School Education released Academic calendar for schools

HYDERABAD: Directorate of School Education released the academic calendar for the year 2015-16 on Wednesday. As per the new calendar, the schools would be reopened on June 12. Similarly the time of instruction for primary schools would be 7 hours per day, 7 and a half hours for upper primary schools and for higher schools it would be as per the RTE Act 2009.

For all the school children, only eight subject periods should be held and the instruction time given to each category should be inclusive of lunch hour and other intervals.

Formative assessment examinations would commence from July 31 and would end on January 31, 2015. Similarly the summative assessment tests would be conducted from October 3 to 9, 2015.
