Govt didn’t invite local MP for State fete

The city unit of BJP expressed its unhappiness over no invitation to its leaders in the closing ceremony of Telangana Formation Day at Tank Bund on Sunday. BJP city leader B Venkat Reddy said that though the party does not oppose the celebrations but the BJP as a party which had given the Telangana State, had every right to question the government.

He said that the programme was organised in the heart of the city and the local MP and Union Minister Bandaru Dattatreya and local MLA K Laxman were not invited even as per the protocol, which is unfair.
