Ruia Group keen on setting up coach unit in TS

HYDERABAD: Ruia Group Chairman Pawan Kumar along with the group’s director operations Kiran called on Chief MinisterK Chandrashekhar Rao at the latter’s camp office here on Thursday. He told the Chief Minister of his company’s plan to set up in the state a modern plant to make railway coaches in collaboration with one of the largest coach manufacturing companies based in Europe.

He also mentioned the group’s interest to develop a smart city near the financial district of Hyderabad. The Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao told the Ruia group that the world’s largest Metro is in Hyderabad and it will be expanded further. He assured the Chairman of Ruia group that the Government will extend its support to their efforts and invited them to set up their units in Hyderabad.

He asked concerned officers to discuss with Ruia group chairman about their proposal and find out their requirements. MP Jitender Reddy, Chief Secretary Rajiv Sharma, Principal Secretary Narsing Rao, Additional Principal Secretary Shanthi Kumari, Principal Secretary to Industries Aravind Kumar and MD TSIIC EV Narsimha Reddy were present at the meeting.
